Multiplayer is the real thrill of Monster Hunter.
However, have you been certified as a “landmine hunter” without realizing it?
We will explain the minimum manners you should follow when participating in Nora Multi (Distress Signal) and the skill structure to avoid trouble.
You may think, “Let me play freely,” but since it’s cooperative play, you need to be careful not to take up other people’s time.
The following five points are particularly important to many hunters.
1. Presence of “flinch reduction” skill
In this game’s specifications, some weapons have a relaxed motion that causes them to flinch when attacked by allies, but basically, “Finch Reduction Lv1” (or an equivalent new skill) is mandatory etiquette.
If you don’t have this attached, you won’t be able to move even if an ally with a long sword or dual sword comes near you, and as a result, you won’t be able to attack.
Before you get angry and say, “I was attacked by an ally!”, check your skills.
2. Attack during sleep (good morning prank)
When the monster sleeps, the BGM disappears and its movements stop.
If you attack and wake him up at this time, you will waste the 2x first hit damage bonus (Large Barrel Bomb G and Great Sword Charged Slash) during sleep.
If the sign appears or the BGM stops, immediately stop the attack.
3. Use of diffusion bullets and slashing
Even if you have “flinch reduction” attached, you cannot prevent the heavy bowgun’s “diffusion bullet” and the “slash up” (throw allies into the air) attacks of the great sword and Chaaku.
If you shoot these at a monster’s weak point (such as the head), all allies will be blown away and DPS will be drastically reduced.
When using it, be careful not to aim at the wings or backs where there are no allies, or shoot into the sky.
4. Waiting/Leaving camp
Although this is out of the question, if you do not move from camp even though you are participating in a quest, you will be reported.
If you have to go to the bathroom or need something urgent, it is good manners to either leave the quest or tell them via chat.
This game has an enhanced block list function, so once you are blocked, you will not be able to match with that person again.
Summary: Greetings can be done with stamps
For greetings when entering the room or after clearing the room, a fixed phrase or stamp is sufficient.
There is no need to be overly afraid, but just being aware that you are fighting alongside your allies will greatly increase your clearing rate.
