It is said that a homemade PC can be assembled like a plastic model, but if you make one mistake, the parts costing tens of thousands of yen will turn into garbage in an instant.
We have summarized the pitfalls that people who build a PC for the first time almost always fall into, and how to avoid them.
Before turning on the power, please do a final check with this article.
1. Forget the motherboard back panel
No.1 despair that you will notice after screwing the motherboard to the PC case.
If you forget to attach the “I/O panel (silver plate)” to the back of the case, you will have to remove it all and start over.
*Recently, integrated motherboards are increasing, but be careful with cheap models.
2. Forgetting to remove the protective film of the CPU cooler
This is 90% of the reasons why the temperature is abnormally high!
Be sure to remove the transparent sticker stuck to the ground surface of the cooler.
If you leave it on as it is, heat will not be transferred and the CPU will run out of heat and the PC will crash.
3. Inserting memory “next to each other”
When inserting two memory devices, you must insert them one at a time in order to achieve dual channel (original speed).
Read your motherboard’s instructions to see which slots are recommended (usually A2 and B2).
4. Insert the display cable into the motherboard
Even though you bought a graphics board, did you connect the cable to the monitor to the terminal on the motherboard?
In this case, the graphics card is not used and it runs on the built-in GPU, so it becomes choppy.
Be sure to insert it into the “grabo terminal” located at the bottom.
Summary
The biggest cause of failure is not reading the instructions.
Trust the manual you have, not just the YouTube videos.
