“I want to play Apex with my friends, but which is better, Switch or PC?”
In conclusion, If you really want to win, choose PC, and if you want to enjoy it easily, choose Switch.
I will explain the “three disparities” where the environments are so different that you can’t believe it’s the same game.
1. Frame rate wall (144fps vs 30fps)
This is the biggest difference.
The PC version allows you to track enemies with smooth images at over 144 frames per second, but the Switch version can capture up to 30 frames per second.
When shooting at close range, in the Switch version, phenomena such as “enemies appear to warp” and “bullets do not hit” physically occur.
2. Draw distance and viewing angle (FoV)
In the PC version, you can clearly see enemies far away, but in the Switch version, distant views are blurred or not displayed in order to lighten the processing.
Also, the Switch’s viewing angle (the area that can be seen to the side) is narrow and fixed, so it has the disadvantage of being easily shot from a blind spot.
Summary
When fighting against PC players in cross-play, you may end up losing unreasonably due to the difference in specs. If your budget allows, FPS is recommended on PC.
