Discord is an essential tool for gamers.
When you try to start multiplayer, it is a daily occurrence to have the problem of “Huh? Can you hear my voice?”
Here are five unexpected configuration mistakes that you should check when restarting does not fix the problem.
1. The input device has changed automatically
Please check Settings > Audio/Video > Input Devices.
When you connect a controller (such as DualSense) to a PC, it often automatically switches to the controller’s microphone.
Let’s manually revert to the name of the headset we’re using.
2. Auto adjustment of input sensitivity off
Turn off the “Automatically adjust input sensitivity” switch and try moving the bar to the left (-100dB side).
The automatic adjustment may not be working properly and may be blocking your voice, identifying it as noise.
It is OK if the bar responds to green.
3. Windows privacy settings
In PC Settings > Privacy > Microphone, make sure that “Allow apps to access your microphone” is turned on.
It may turn off automatically with an OS update.
Summary
The most common punch line is “The physical mute button on the headset was turned on.” First, check your hands!
