The release of “Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA6)” is finally becoming a reality.
It is likely that the game will be released on the home game console (PS5) first, but many gamers are probably waiting for the PC version.
Based on past trends of Rockstar Games and the latest technology levels such as Unreal Engine, we will accurately predict the specs that will allow you to comfortably play the PC version of GTA 6.
Storage: NVMe SSD will be “required”
There is no doubt that it will be impossible to play on an HDD (hard disk), or you will not be able to play properly due to the delay in applying textures.
It is expected that you will need 150GB or more of free SSD space to seamlessly load the entire map.
If possible, I would like to prepare a high-speed M.2 SSD that supports Gen4.
Glabo: Is RTX 4070 Super or higher recommended
GTA6’s graphics density is on an order of magnitude.
If you turn on 4K resolution or ray tracing, you’ll need an RTX 5080 class.
However, in the Full HD to WQHD environment used by many users, the following areas are likely to be borderline.
- Minimum action environment:RTX 3060 / RX 6700 XT
- Turning action environment (high settings):RTX 4070 Super / RTX 5060 Ti
- Highest quality (4K):RTX 5090 / RTX 4090
Memory: 32GB is now the standard
Recent open world games consume a lot of memory.
16GB may be insufficient if you have a browser or Discord open in the background.
If you are building or expanding your PC now, don’t hesitate to go for 32GB (16GB x 2).
Summary
If we consider that “PS5 Pro” will become the standard, PCs will also need to have the same specs.
PC parts prices tend to rise just before the release date, so it’s best to prepare early.
